Nat Beuse
Aurora

Nat Beuse is head of safety at Aurora, the self-driving technology company that recently acquired Uber Advanced Technologies Group (ATG). His safety team leads the development and implementation of Aurora's approach to safety. His team also oversees organizational and product engineering safety. Prior to Aurora and Uber ATG, Beuse served as the associate administrator for vehicle safety research at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In that role, he was responsible for directing NHTSA's vehicle safety research activities in many areas, including vehicle automation, cybersecurity, driver information systems, occupant protection, and accommodation of drivers and occupants with disabilities and other special needs.

Maureen Brown
Munich Re

Maureen Brown has over 45 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. For the past four year, she has led an underwriting unit focused on developing coverage, loss mitigation tools, and pricing for new and emerging exposures such as autonomous automobiles, tech-enabled insurance products, and mobility as a service risk. She is a past chairperson of the CPCU Society's Excess and Surplus Lines/Specialty Lines (ESSL) Committee. In addition to her CPCU designation, she has received her RPLU+, ARe, ARM-P, and ASLI designations.

Amy Chu
Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium

Amy Chu is currently the director of the Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium, a program of SAE-ITC. In this role, she leads a group of industry member companies focused on refining and sharing safety principles for SAE Level 4 and 5 automated driving systems. 

Chu has devoted nearly 20 years to the automotive industry, previously at HARMAN International, where she stood up the automotive cybersecurity engineering center of excellence. She has vast program management and product delivery experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.

Jackie Erickson
Edge Case Research
Jackie Erickson leads communications and marketing for Edge Case Research's mission to deliver the promise of autonomy. Additionally, Erickson oversees Edge Case's domestic and international government relations and standard organization engagements. Before joining Edge Case Research, Jackie served as Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Director for U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey Jr. (D-Pennsylvania) where she received the Commander's Award for Public Service from the U.S. Army. Following her time in public service, she transitioned her skills into the tech sector where she worked in communications and public policy positions for last-mile delivery, AV trucking, UAV, and space robotics startups. She sits on the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Autonomous Vehicle Task Force and the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce Board.
